Job Description & Responsibilities
Packback is looking for a Data Analyst to support our mission to awaken and fuel the lifelong curiosity in every student. As an AI Platform Engineer at Packback, you will be building features that empower students and professors to have a better learning experience.
Packback’s A.I.-powered platform is used by educators in K-12 and higher education to help their students fall in love with the subject matter, drive personalized learning, and most importantly, quantify and improve student critical thinking skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Consult with RevOps, Product, and Business Units to translate key product/business processes into technical data requirements. Use dbt, BigQuery, and SQL to build up Packback’s metrics layer to enable self-serve access to core analytics.
- Establish data integrity standards and SLAs to ensure timely, accurate delivery of data.
- Build insightful and reliable dashboards to track performance of core company metrics across the product and business.
- Collaborate with RevOps to define and train on best practices with respect to data modeling, analytics, and visualization.
- Collaborate with RevOps, Finance, Product, and Leadership to conduct analyses and apply statistical methods to answer day-to-day questions or support larger initiatives.
- Lead Packback’s research function with partner institutions and perform in-depth analyses to understand how Packback’s products are driving key student outcomes.
- Consult on the adoption of new technologies that impact Packback’s data infrastructure.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in an analytics focused role - analytics engineer, data engineer, or analyst/consultant with a strong technical background
- Expert with SQL and experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with modern data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.)
- Strong story-teller with data and experience with visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
- Strong business acumen and the ability to work through complex and ambiguous business requirements with non-technical stakeholders.

Competitive Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $98K - 120K annually + bonus. We set clear expectations for professional growth and offer an annual learning and development stipend.
