A lead data analyst is responsible for providing data readiness services that facilitate the conversion from competitive systems to any of the company's products. They analyze data for special assignments that require expert data-related knowledge and expertise. Their job involves leveraging shared services templates, toolkits, best practices, and COE strategies in project deliverables, providing consultancy and advisory services to project managers, business analysts, data analysts, and developers on making best use of the data architecture, and owning the logical and physical data schema design for the central data hub and warehouse. Their job also entails reviewing technical specifications and proposing high level data architecture enhancements to meet project requirements, as well as reviewing functional specifications describing enhancements of the data platform.
They must have relevant qualifications, skills, and experience in the field, including a Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Science, Education, or Accounting. Desired skills include SQL, SAS, R, Tableau, and expertise in company systems, financial service company products, financial services application systems, related data structures, processes, and associated data services strategies. They must be able to perform large-scale data analysis and develop effective statistical models for segmentation classification, optimization, and time series. The role requires effective team leading abilities and the ability to work independently to drive projects forward.
