Overview
The Department of Statistics, Operations and Data Science offers the Bachelor of Science in Statistical Science and Data Analytics (SSDA). This degree provides students with knowledge of statistical methods, theory, data management and computation. Students learn how to gather, analyze, and interpret data, while gaining exposure to programming languages such as R, Python and SQL. The SSDA major is also uniquely housed in a business school. Here, students gain a strong statistical foundation, as well as a solid base of business knowledge from core classes in economics, accounting, risk management, and more. They learn to effectively apply strong quantitative and data analytic techniques to today's complex business problems.
