The major in statistics offers students the breadth and depth of knowledge necessary to attain various career objectives in many different fields. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in statistics consisting of a 22-credit-hour core along with a minimum of 18 credit hours of MAT/STA electives. The electives may be chosen from courses at the 300 level or above (or MAT 234) with at least 9 of these credit hours being STA courses.
