Job Description & Responsibilities
Paycor’s Senior Data Analyst acts in a support capacity across internal departments to design/enhance, analyze and report out on data solutions to help inform and drive smart internal business decisions. This position will work closely with supported teams to understand the business and find areas of improvement/enhancement that could be better served using data analysis/statistical modeling. He / She assesses data, determines technical options available to accurately integrate needed data and creates solutions for easily understandable outcomes/recommendations. The Senior Data Analyst will assist with instilling governance and standardization of data mining, analysis methods and output/result formats.
Successful Senior Data Analyst candidates will possess a curiosity and passion for discovering new things and coming up with creative solutions for complex business issues and an ability to learn quickly. Additionally, the Analyst will demonstrate a dedicated focus to improving business processes and decision making using timely and accurate reports based on proven analytical/statistical modelling. Telling an effective story to help others see the benefit of data-based decision-making will be an important part of this role.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Mine and integrate data from multiple sources, derive insights, and translate results into simple, actionable conclusions for various business partners.
- Develop in-depth business, analytical and systems knowledge to improve or build solutions, approaches and business recommendations.
- Regularly communicate and collaborate with multiple areas of the business (Operations, Finance, IT, Marketing, Sales) to understand where Paycor can use data/analysis to better inform decisions.
- Design and generate ad hoc reports, regular datasets, analytical tools and methodologies for end-users using available system tools and database queries and scripts.
- Improve understanding of and adoption of standard analysis and statistical processes across areas of the business.
- Maintain a working environment that is energized and consistently demonstrates the Paycor service commitment.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in related operations, analytical, systems and/or accounting role.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, with the ability to create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards to present complex data insights.
- Strong knowledge of SQL language, with the ability to write complex queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
- Data management and visualization skills/tools.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills; ability to work efficiently and effectively on project teams as well as independently.
- Payroll knowledge a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task.

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. We anticipate the base pay for this position to be between $61,600 - $105,164. In addition to base pay, Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on their position.
