Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Sr. Production Data Analyst to join the Gale Primary Sources Production Team. This role will be a critical contributor to the team, focusing on building metadata strategy, driving improvements in data quality and process, engaging, and providing analytic and operational support to multiple areas. Further duties and responsibilities will include:
- Form a deep understanding of Gale’s processes, systems/tools, personnel, and strategic direction
- Compile and analyse large datasets from various systems
- Assist in consolidating, standardizing, and automating data workflows
- Collaborate with business team members, vendors, and data engineers to define metadata strategy and provide high quality, synthesized outputs
- Collect and communicate findings within broader project structure; maintain healthy project management and workflow practices
- Lead capture requirement gathering activities and identify schema changes to support to product functionality
- Develop and maintain capture specifications and production documentation
- Evaluate new capture vendors
Requirements
Skills You Will Need Here
- BA/BS with data analysis proficiency and proven achievement
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working with structured content and management of digitized data
- Strong understanding of data analysis and techniques with experience working with databases to deliver synthesized reports and insights
- Background working with and developing XML/XSD schema
- Experience with collecting, analysing, and synthesizing large datasets
- Collaborative problem-solving and working style to inspire change through influence
- Ability to self-manage progress against achievements and results with a high degree of accountability
- Solid understanding of Microsoft office packages, with emphasis on use of Excel and Access
What we offer
Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $102,100.00 USD
