Job Description & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sr. Director of People Analytics and HRIS, you will work with the team to develop and maintain data visualization tools that provide insightful and actionable people metrics.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Design and develop aesthetically pleasing, effective, and compelling dashboards using techniques for advanced analytics, interactive dashboard design, and visual best practices to convey the story within the data and generate actionable insight
- Provide ongoing operational talent reports to the business with data driven narratives
- Engage with stakeholders across the People team and business to understand and define requirements and provide support for scheduled and ad hoc talent reporting needs in a timely fashion
Requirements
Your Competencies:
- Advanced skills in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, and/or other related reporting and analytic tools
- Proven experience in creating and automating dashboards using Tableau and Tableau API or equivalent tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with HR, business partners and IT to translate between data and business needs
Your Education & Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering is required.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with data visualization and ETL tools like Tableau, PowerBI
- Experience manipulating large data sets through object-oriented programming (ex: Python), statistical software (R) or other method
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience Working In a People Analytics Function Is Preferred
What we offer
The base salary pay range for this position is $79,500 to $106,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
