Job Description & Responsibilities
Peerspace is looking for a Senior Data Analyst with experience using advanced analytical methods to interpret vast data sets and solve complex marketplace challenges. The core of this role is deep analytical expertise, but having a solid grasp of the business context is also crucial. This combination will enable the successful candidate to effectively transform data insights into actionable business strategies, significantly contributing to Peerspace’s growth and the optimization of our marketplace.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and become a domain expert in our marketplace dynamics, identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges through data.
- Develop analytics tables, dashboards, and presentations to inform strategic decisions and improve marketplace efficiency.
- Collaborate with partners to understand their function and provide insights.
- Work closely with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to deploy data-driven solutions that align with business objectives.
- Articulate analytical findings clearly, translating them into actionable strategies for business growth and operational excellence.
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a strong foundation in data analytics, with a proven ability to display, summarize, and communicate data to partners across Operations, Marketing, Exec team, and other business units as appropriate
- Comfortable working with technology teams and non-technical business stakeholders to understand problems and derive a plan of analysis.
- Has experience analyzing and modeling marketplace frameworks, including defining supply and demand KPIs and monitoring business health metrics
- curious about the business, self-motivated, and can unblock themselves when the perfect dataset isn’t readily available
- Is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment, committed to continuous improvement
- Enjoys and finds value in optimizing BI visualizations that surface key insights for stakeholders across an organization
Some examples of typical problems we tackle within marketplace dynamics include understanding the financial health and user behavior of our supply, monitoring liquidity within geographic markets, developing optimal pricing recommendations, and researching new business growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a data analysis role, emphasizing technical expertise and a strong background in statistical methods and predictive modeling.
- Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Demonstrated capability with large datasets and complex analytical projects.
- Knowledge of data processing architectures, ETL processes, and familiarity with BI tools such as Sisense (Periscope), Tableau, or Looker.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present complex data insights in a straightforward, compelling manner to stakeholders across the company.
- A bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in marketplace analytics or within a two-sided platform environment.
- Experience developing briefs and slides for presentations to a Board of Directors.
- Startup experience.
What we offer

The annual salary range for this role is $140,000 to $150,000. The actual salary amount will vary depending on the applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and market data.
