Job Description & Responsibilities
Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.
As a core member of our Market Data Business Group, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.
Responsibilities
Your Role:
- You will work with the Reconciliations and Fund Accounting teams in all of our offices to ensure the proper establishment and the accuracy of listed security reference, pricing and corporate action data. The Market Data Business Group (MDBG) Team uses its in-depth knowledge of financial instruments to investigate all issues relating to system functionality and instrument reference and pricing data. Some of these issues include posting problems, accrual problems and breaks, research on new security types and any investigation that has to do with how a security is set up or functions within the system.
- Provide support for a number of manual security updates including updating accrual and principal factors; this team partners with the Pricing and Valuation team and the Market Data Technology team to continuously improve instrument type functionality and coverage
- Troubleshoot daily issues that arise regarding market data and our internal system’s application of that data
- Analyze and correct anomalies in both vendor provided data as well as customer provided data
- Recognize patterns of issues and create requests to the IT staff for solutions
- Position reports into the local manager of the Market Data team
- Work with development of projects relating to market and instrument data, and conduct UAT testing in the Market Data environment
- Liaise with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) team to automate Market Data processes as part of the firm-wide Business Process Optimization initiative
- Experience working with TRG Screen or vendor cost control and allocation initiatives/budgeting
Requirements
Qualifications
About You:
- You have a minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in Fund Administration or Brokerage Operations with a strong understanding of both static and variable Market Data.
- Knowledge of financial products (e.g., Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives)
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Reuters
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and in person
- Prior interaction with IT development staff on development projects (desirable)
- Adaptable and perceptive
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities through past experience
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong market data and project experience
- Prior experience using SQL, VBA or any programming language
