Job Description & Responsibilities
Why We’re Different
Whether this is your first job description or the hundredth one, that’s what you’re thinking; is this just the same old senior analyst job description….zzzz. Well it’s not because here we have TACOs! At GameChanger, we love our virtual tacos*; it’s how we show appreciation to our teammates (50K+ tacos given!) for the great work they’re doing! For example you could get tacos for:
- Building a report that shows in-app notifications’ impact…Luke in Marketing Ops will toss you a 🌮!
- Presenting a demo to the company on how we’ve built out a Customer Acquisition Cost model…lots of people will give you 🌮 🌮 🌮, especially Eric in Paid Marketing!
- Measuring the impact of our Community Pass? Rebecca in Community will give you a 🌮!
- Tell a good dad joke? I’ll give you a 🌮 and enter it into our dad-abase!
Now let’s 🌮bout the role!
T: Tracking and Technology
We’re looking for somebody who’s excited to continuously help improve and optimize our tech stack and tracking. Some examples of this:
- Working with data engineering and marketing operations to stand up Braze for more targeted in-app notifications and email marketing campaigns.
- Providing guidance on Snowplow front end tracking for our web and mobile app experience.
- Auditing and optimizing our AppsFlyer implementation so we can measure channel performance.
- Helping evaluate an experimentation platform and product analytics tool to enable more self-service analytics at GameChanger.
A: Analytics and Advise
Our analysts are versatile and technical, but their mission isn’t to just serve up dashboards or set up tracking. This work is done as a pre-req to advise our business partners on a course of action. Here are some projects you’d work on:
- Design channel and campaign level attribution to optimize incremental marketing spend and efforts.
- Help ideate, execute, and measure experiments designed to understand what drives user registrations and conversions.
- Proactively diagnose and provide hypotheses around macro-marketing performance like unexpected changes in team creations and lifetime value.
C: Communication
At GameChanger, data is becoming our lingua franca and you’ll help spread the word of data by:
- Establishing a common vocabulary by defining metrics and dimensions.
- Actively listening to others so you can continuously build and improve our data knowledge and know-how.
- Sharing what you know by educating business stakeholders and other analysts.
- Owning the prioritization process for Go-to-Market data projects.
O: Organizations
At GameChanger, our people and culture are our differentiator, so it’s important you know who you’ll be working with.
- Go-to-Market: Consists of marketing, partnerships, community, and product marketing. This org is relatively new, so you’ll have abundant opportunities to be a trusted advisor to create the data foundations with them.
- Data and Analytics (DNA): Our team has established processes and infrastructure that allow analysts to focus on doing the work rather than constantly dealing with data fires. Plus we’re really fun and love tacos!
