Senior Data Analyst, Growth job description

Our Growth teams manage all aspects of the onboarding experience as prospective customers provide their information, select coverages, receive quotes, and purchase policies both on the Root website and through partnership interfaces. This team drives customer engagement and conversion by developing new strategies around the onboarding flow and quoting experience. This team strives to design an exceptional customer experience that maximizes conversion milestones and subsequent customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Analyst, you’ll be responsible for conducting exploratory research, running AB tests, studying the impacts of new business strategies, analyzing the overall performance of our onboarding experiences, and introducing new metrics and reporting to shape how we measure and drive our business. You’ll work closely with partners in Product, Data Science, Design, and Engineering to ensure our business decisions and strategies are data driven and achieve optimal outcomes.

Reports to the Analytics Manager of Onboarding Experience

How You Will Make an Impact

Conduct exploratory research to identify opportunities to improve business outcomes

Design and conduct experiments (including AB tests) that maximize learnings for new product feature launches

Manage and enhance a suite of business intelligence frameworks and dashboards to unlock self-service capabilities among non-technical partners

Proactively and consistently analyze the overall performance of our onboarding experiences to identify trends, anomalies, or other potentially actionable insights

Identify opportunities to improve analytical methodologies or introduce new techniques to improve analytical deliverables

Build strong relationships with cross functional partners to influence strategy and to ensure consistent alignment and awareness

Senior Data Analyst, Growth job requirements

What You Will Need to Succeed

3+ years of work experience in analytics (prior insurance experience or web/funnel experience preferred)

Proficiency with SQL and BI software (Tableau, Mode, Power BI, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or another quantitative field

Superior problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically and innovatively

Exceptional written and oral communication; able to effectively collaborate with and present materials to Director and VP levels

Detail oriented; able to effectively multitask across multiple domains; consistently maintains rigorous documentation

Roll-up-the sleeves work ethic and “do-what-it takes” attitude to efficiently execute and drive results in a fast-paced work environment
