Job Description & Responsibilities
The Senior Data Analyst performs a wide variety of analytical and reporting work for Centerstone and its business partners. Projects may include: ad-hoc analysis and reporting, understanding and mapping new data sources into existing reporting infrastructure, gathering report requirements, and building reporting systems or dashboards, designing predictive modeling or other data mining capabilities, and performing statistical analysis and interpretation. Specific projects will vary widely depending on current needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Works closely with business units throughout Centestone, including Centerstone’s operations across its multi-state footprint, and/or Centerstone’s Shared Services Departments.
- May work with external partners and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Become a subject matter expert in the specific business area of assignment.
- Develop, document, and interpret ad-hoc reports and/or dashboards using analytical tools (e.g. Qlik, SQL Server, Excel, Crystal Reports, E.H.R./E.M.R. System specific platforms).
- Produce engaging and deeply informative visualizations of data.
- Work closely with Quality Improvement, Finance, Executive Leadership, and other areas of the business.
- Work directly with business contracts to understand requests and make recommendations.
- Build deep expertise in the data and its meaning.
- Apply sound statistical methods as needed to properly interpret results.
- Support existing systems, including user communication, quality assurance and user training and support.
- Stay on the cutting edge of analytics, learning and working with new tools as appropriate.
- Act as the face of the Analytics Department to the end-user community.
- Must be able to work independently under general leadership
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products, including SQL server, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook is required.
- Experience with SAP Crystal Reports, SQL, Qlik is preferred.
- Exposure to statistical methods and packages is preferred.
- Exposure to health care/behavioral health care and working with E.H.R./E.M.R. systems.
- Experience working with project teams in the development of new systems and data structures.
Requirements
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Years Of Experience
- 3-5 years experience in health care/behavioral health care or 3-5 years experience with data processing or analysis.
Healthcare analytics experience is a plus.
