Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to drive strategic analysis focused on identification, evaluation, and execution of opportunities to drive growth, operational excellence, and product quality for Diablo 4.

Covid-19 Hiring Update: This role is a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provide analytical expertise to a cross-functional and multidisciplinary team tasked with ensuring the health of the Diablo IV business.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Finance, Consumer Insights, and development team partners to set and achieve business goals.
  • Scope and perform analyses, provide detailed analytical reports, develop KPIs, and produce self-service dashboards from a massive raw dataset to drive business decisions.
  • Design and execute A/B testing and other experimentation and collaborate with business partners to maximize the impact of testing.
  • Wield your strategic prowess to identify and communicate effectively short and long-term risks and strategic opportunities supported by data.
  • Assist in the design of data collection and data architecture to ensure clean, actionable insights are more easily derived from complex systems.
  • Contribute to an inclusive atmosphere, where team members communicate and support each other's efforts, enabling a productive team culture, built upon trust and collaborative problem solving.
Senior Data Analyst, Diablo IV Analytics job requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the ability to structure an approach to issues and analyze alternative solutions.
  • Curious, internally-motivated self-starter with ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to manage multiple projects and achieve results.
  • Ability to manage analytical projects from requirement gathering to presentation and reporting.
  • Expertise with most or all of the following: data modeling, data visualization, statistics, experimental design, predictive modeling.
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Gaming, Management Consulting, Data Science, or Product Management roles.
  • 2+ years of experience on a live service product.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in Game Live Services, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Product Management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (BigQuery a plus); experience with at least one visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Consistent experience communicating and advocating with analytical insights to high-level audiences to inform decision making.
  • Familiarity with AB Testing/personalization process including test design, execution, analysis and develop actionable recommendation.
  • Masters, MBA, or PhD preferred.
