Job Description & Responsibilities
The Senior Data Analyst seeks to gain insights into data related to Sherwin-Williams’ global ERP solution and develops reports and analytical solutions to meet business needs. The analyst collects and analyzes data, interprets business requirements, and develops reports, visualizations, and analytics to deliver valuable insights to stakeholders. Reporting within the Enterprise Data & Insights organization, the analyst will help to improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and manage risks by interpreting complex data sets.
Responsibilities
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements, changes, and enhancements, and translate them into lean specifications.
- Support sizing of features and user stories for reporting & analytics solution components.
- Participate in refinement sessions to identify and log subtasks required to complete development.
- Collaborate with Data Solution Architects to draft technical designs for analytics solutions.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Collaborate with data engineering on Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) of data from various sources to support report requirements.
- Develop reports, visualizations, and analytical solutions based on technical designs.
- Conduct functional unit testing for analytics and reports.
- Manage report versioning, ensuring that reports are maintained and up to date with system changes and user requirements.
- Document report development process and enforce best practices for report development, ensuring consistency and performance across all reports.
- Deploy reports and analytics solutions according to the instance strategy and deployment methodology.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing reports and dashboards.

Requirements
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or in lieu of related degree, at least 5 years of experience in data analysis.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role working with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP applications.
- Proven experience in a techno-functional role, with the ability to bridge technical and business requirements .
- Familiarity with business operations, processes, and key functions.
- Experience communicating complex technical subjects to technical and non-technical audiences through developing documentation and training materials.
- Experience in coordinating with IT teams and stakeholders.
- Independent, curious, eager to tackle a wide variety of problems, and able to quickly develop knowledge and understanding of new domains and underlying data sources.
- Experience developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining standardized outcome metrics meeting diverse business needs.
- Experience developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining methodologies for standardized and repeatable reporting for internal and external audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies and related tools (Jira).
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with business processes and related data requirements in one or more of these process areas:
- Financials: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Tax
- OTI: Order Management, Pricing & Promotions, Warehousing & Distribution, Invoicing
- PMI: Planning & Procurement, Manufacturing Execution, Inventory Management
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience with Data Analytics and Visualization Tools (e.g., Tableau and MicroStrategy)
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter who takes initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud PVOs, OTBI, APIs, and integration tools.
