Job Summary

PeopleFun is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to work alongside an established team of product managers, data analysts/engineers, user researchers, and game developers to understand the behavior of millions of game players in PeopleFun's portfolio of game titles.

This Analyst will play a key role in PeopleFun's product and business strategy by creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards, writing SQL queries to perform ad hoc analysis, reporting findings, and developing actionable insights and recommendations. This person will also be responsible for developing data frameworks, models, tools, and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations in collaboration with product managers to drive results.
  • Plan and execute portfolio-wide analyses, gathering historical and latest KPI trends.
  • Create and maintain Tableau dashboards.
  • Add/update event tracking requirements in line with game updates and new features in collaboration with PeopleFun product managers and data engineers.
  • Regularly contribute to cross-functional discussions between data analysts, product managers, and game developers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (graduate degree a plus) in computer science, statistics, informatics, information systems or related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience using advanced SQL from multiple data sources (BigQuery is a plus).
  • Experience building reports in Tableau.
  • Experience designing, conducting & analyzing A/B tests, and familiarity with hypothesis and significance testing.
  • Expert proficiency in validating, cleaning, and debugging data for analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey/present detailed analysis to cross-functional teams/partners.
  • Prior knowledge about video games and game development. Mobile game specific experience is a plus.

PeopleFun provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this [CA based or North America based] position is $125,000-$170,000. Base compensation at PeopleFun is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits.
