Job Description & Responsibilities
The data team at Spring includes a number of embedded analysts who are the analytics experts within cross functional teams. In this role you’ll join our embedded analyst team and function like an internal data consultant, rotating across several teams on a ~quarterly basis to consistently work on the highest impact projects across the business. Some of this work will be with internal facing teams (e.g. our people team) and other times it will be with operational teams driving forward our business (e.g. our provider operations team). Your goal will be the same regardless: quickly build context on the problem, learn more about the available data, and ship a data product that delivers value for the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with teams across our business units to understand and scope their needs, identifying requirements and what good looks like
- Diving into different data sources, quickly building expertise on what is and isn’t possible, and developing creative solutions based on your stakeholder’s needs and what we can offer
- Delivering analyses and dashboards to stakeholders that help them make the right decisions about how to move our business forward
- Collaborate with the core business intelligence and data engineering teams to revise or build new dbt pipelines to get the data you need
- Developing a deep understanding of our products and operations, and how they tie into Spring Health’s business context
What Success Looks Like In This Role
- Reduce the amount of time teams spend manually pulling data to inform decisions
- Develop dashboards and analyses that deliver ongoing value to teams, measured in proxy by the number of monthly active users and total views different dashboards and analyses receive
- Develop tools and analyses that enable the teams you work with to hit their own KPIs - you’re successful when you help your team be successful!
- Contribute to our foundational data model by adding additional fields and tables according to our data style guide
