Job Description & Responsibilities
The Senior Data Analyst is a member of EVERFI’s Research team, charged with measuring the impact of digital education courses on learners and reporting on that impact to internal and external stakeholders. With a focus on K-12 learners, you will lead the effort to develop automated processes and tools that will help EVERFI convey our story of impact through data and visualizations.
You will work closely with researchers, data analysts, and product managers to improve access to impact data across the company; evolve the ways we report on impact to our customers and stakeholders; and develop new data sources, analyses, and visualizations to support research and reporting. The successful candidate will have experience bringing together product usage and user data, as well as education data to support various business needs.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve, merge, and analyze data sets, using existing and emerging data sources and tools to support research projects and reports
- Deliver customer-facing reports on the impact of EVERFI’s courses in a timely manner, including utilizing advanced knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and/or coding languages to manage and increase automation of reporting tasks.
- Build and deliver meaningful, actionable, and timely data tools to internal users that will support customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to identify and define data and insights projects that are aligned with business needs and strategic priorities.
- Work with head of Research to prioritize tools, resources, and analyses based on business needs and work independently to execute projects in a timely manner.
- Promote and provide training on data & insights tools and resources internally through small and large group presentations and supporting documentation materials.
- Maintain expertise in modern data systems and emerging analytics techniques, particularly those relevant in digital education (using data from surveys, assessment performance, and learning analytics).
- Collaborate with inter-department stakeholders (primarily platform product and engineering) to define future needs for data systems to support research, product measurement, and impact reporting.

Requirements
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject with substantial coding language and quantitative coursework preferred
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience in a data analyst or product analytics position.
- Proficient in data management and visualization tools, i.e. SQL, Tableau.
- Competence with data analyses and analytical software, i.e Excel, SPSS, or R
- Advanced knowledge of relational databases and data workflows, including ETL, data-cleaning and modeling, exploratory data analysis, experimental design, and applied statistics.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose coding language (e.g., Python, Javascript) for the automation of research and data manipulation tasks preferred
- Ability to work with engineering or data professionals to develop requirements for data-related technology features.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, and experience translating -- in writing and orally -- technical topics for a nontechnical audience.
- Understanding of social science research methods and their application.
- Ability and interest to stay up-to-date on latest relevant data management and analysis trends and approaches.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in a particular EVERFI domain preferred. I.e. digital education, financial education or financial technology, corporate learning. Experience with digital education data preferred.
What we offer
The starting base pay is $67,400.00 to $90,700.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
