The Role

As a Senior Data Analyst at Lumin you will have access to high-fidelity energy metrics across a fleet of IoT devices that help homeowners take control of their energy usage. You will augment this data with external sources to answer critical questions to the business, product and technical teams and help evolve our understanding of market opportunities, product capabilities, user behaviors and system performance.

You'll Be Responsible For

  • Dig deep into Lumin and external data to answer questions critical to understanding Lumin's markets, opportunities, customer experience, and product/platform performance
  • Partner with stakeholders to truly understand the questions that need to be asked, iterate quickly and refine our approaches during investigation as needed
  • Build intuitive data visualizations that tell a rich and impactful story about what's happening in the data
  • Help evolve our data assets with respect to data quality, usability and query performance
  • Build self-service tools for stakeholders to be able to reliably explore data for questions that come up regularly
Senior Data Analyst job requirements

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in computer science, physical science, mathematics or related field
  • Three years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced skills in SQL and/or Python for data analysis required
  • Strong analytical/statistical approach to answering questions using data
  • Comfort querying and manipulating large amounts of data
  • Experience with scientific and/or energy industry data (bonus points for utility load research, measurement and verification, meter data management, load profiling)
  • Exceptional communication skills

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $94,000-$122,000 + equity + benefits. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands, and years of experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
