Senior Data Analyst job description

The Senior Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the Stride Marketing Organization and will work cross functionally across marketing to help inform our marketing strategy, website optimization and campaign decisions. This role with work closely with the VP of Marketing Technology to initially define and build the Marketing Analytics data infrastructure and subsequently leverage the data to provide insights into Marketing performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Assist with the creation of the data architecture to ensure data is available, actionable, trustable, and reusable for analytics and other purposes
  • Perform complex analysis on marketing metrics, and call center data to drive insights for Enrollment Center and Marketing teams.
  • Design and deliver automated dashboards/reports to extract and communicate key takeaways from leads to enrollment and allow end users to self-serve for additional insights.
  • Create easy to navigate sliceable dashboards, tables, and compelling presentation outputs, utilizing BI tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Perform analysis on lead generation campaigns and evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness and performance analytics
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and data exploration to uncover insights.
  • Perform in-depth analysis to drive acquisition strategies recommendations.
  • Interpret marketing data and metrics to provide optimization opportunities through the marketing funnel
  • Provide Quality Assurance (QA) checks before dashboard releases. Support data quality initiatives especially within marketing platforms including cleansing and normalization
  • Document reporting process and data dictionary used in all business lines.
  • Perform presentations/insights to management and stakeholders.
  • Communicate the effectiveness of new campaigns launches, segmentation strategy, new opportunities, and Paid/Earned/Owned Media initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Senior Data Analyst job requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree , prefer in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics AND
  • Four (4) years’ related experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years’ experience with SQL, transforming/manipulating data for reporting and analysis
  • Three (3) years working with a large data warehouse
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience with Excel for data exploration, visualization, and reporting
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools, preferably Power BI/Tableau
  • 1 year experience with Python, R or other programming languages
  • 2 – 3 years’ corporate experience and be able to work with other team members
  • Experience in marketing analytics, marketing measurement and business analytics (e.g., report generation, marketing campaign analysis, web analytics, AB testing, email performance, social media measurement, content testing, etc.)
  • 2 year’ experience engaging with business stakeholders to gather requirements, present results, perform QA on results, manage backlogs and project status
  • Strong Excel skills related to database/table functions
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Knowledge of coding languages or developer tools, such as R, Python, etc.
  • Technologies: SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, Snowflake, Python, Salesforce, DBT

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

  • We anticipate the salary range to be $60,384.00 to $129,810.50. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
