Job Description & Responsibilities
The Senior Data Analyst at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will access, gather, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into business problems, decisions, and performance.
- Create and produce forecasts, reports, and dashboards using high quality data visualization to tell a story through data.
- Design and administer system testing and user acceptance testing on deliverables. Summarize analysis into user-friendly deliverables by translating detailed data into business-appropriate communication and recommendations.
- Deliver results, insights, and recommendations (written, verbal, presentations, etc.) to business audiences to support business decisions.
- Provide consultation to business clients and may participate in cross-functional teams to address business issues.
- Create forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
- Utilize analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts that impact business (costs, risks, etc.).
- Share best practices with peers through coaching and mentoring around core methodologies, standards, and processes.
- Create and be accountable for high quality, value driven work that drives business outcomes and places the user in center of decision making.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field plus five years of research and data analysis experience.
Five years of experience must include four years of experience with each of the following: (1) application development;
(2) data acquisition and cleansing;
(3) feature engineering;
(4) debugging; and
(5) software documentation using modern languages including Python.
Must also have three years of experience with data warehouses including Redshift or Snowflake and digital analytics tools including Adobe Analytics and Power BI.
What we offer
Salary $103,043- $136,630 per year.
