THE TEAM & THE ROLE

As the Lead Data Analyst for Abuse Operations, you'll be part of a mission critical team protecting the Live Nation ticketing platforms from abusive entities or those who deploy abusive digital behaviors designed to circumvent our controls that protect fair access to tickets. Abuse Operations is a centrally managed command and control center for abuse investigations, escalations, policy enforcement, and tooling for all global Live Nation ticketing systems. The Lead Data Analyst is responsible for producing and operationalizing reports to provide business insight on system abuse across global ticketing platforms.

What This Role Will Do

  • Develop, standardize, and operationalize global reports focused on abuse analytics for concert ticket onsales & post-purchase activities.
  • Build ETL processes to consolidate data required for global reporting.
  • Ad-hoc Data Analysis Projects to evaluate emerging trends and hypothesis.
  • Act as source of truth for abuse prevention data and analytics.
  • Ongoing self-directed analysis to uncover data trends and system usage patterns.
  • Drive continuous improvements to our products, tools, and processes by sharing learnings, constructive feedback, and input with internal technical and analytics teams.
  • Independently learn new technologies and master Live Nation ticketing platforms data to best identify and resolve data accuracy and report production issues.
Lead Data Analyst job requirements

What This Person Will Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in Data Analysis or Business Intelligence in an entertainment or B2C environment
  • Strong experience with synthesizing & summarizing large data sets into trends to drive strategic business decisions & hypothesis evaluations
  • Strong Proficiency in SQL Queries and scripting languages (Python preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of database and analysis tools such as Splunk, Kibana, DataBricks, Snowflake, etc.
  • Experience with Incident and change management
  • Experience in a global, fast-paced environment, resolving multiple interrupt-driven priorities simultaneously
  • Passionate and motivated, resourceful, innovative, forward-thinking
  • Excellent pattern recognition, and a general curiosity to uncover trends & evaluate data anomalies
  • Focused on quality & attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to summarize complex analysis into executive updates
  • Ability to work with autonomy while ensuring that new knowledge is shared with technology & analytics teams
  • Committed and able to adapt quickly
  • Embrace continuous learning and continuous improvement
