Role Overview

The Data Analyst Intern will assist our Information Technology Billing Systems & Operations team on an enterprise integration project, along with an enterprise platform upgrade. Additionally, the Data Analyst will have the opportunity to work on and observe other critical projects that are currently underway. Some of the items that Data Analyst will be able to experience and have hands on participation with include:

• Management partnership to align internship goals with learning goals
• Tactical and project plan development and management
• Software development including SQL, RPG, and other languages
• System integration strategies for real time two way data flow
• Software development lifecycle experience
• Functional, regressive, and destructive software testing
• Requirements gathering and transformation into technical documentation
• Enterprise level hardware and software management
• Exposure to the inner working of providing telecommunications and internet services to customers large and small
• Security risk management and business continuity/disaster recovery

Duties And Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain customer and financial reports
• Perform ad-hoc business analyses on various types of data related to IT billing projects and revenue
• Assist with special projects including enterprise system consolidations, data cleansing, and technology platform integrations
• Gather requirements and documentation from stakeholders

Education: Information Technology, Computer Science and/or Cyber Security major entering undergrad junior, senior year or post-grad

Qualifications

• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and Google Suite
• Candidate must be outgoing, enthusiastic about Responsibilities above, hardworking, resourceful, independent thinker, and team player.
• Must be able to lift approximately 10 lbs.

This position will be based in Astound’s Wilkes Barre, PA office. You may also be based remotely near any of Astound's major markets including but not limited to:
