Job Description & Responsibilities
The new hire will work as a member of the DMO (Data Management Office), to perform activities required to provide effective control of the data which is deemed critical to the bank.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Technical services for the DMO team to support the following activities DMO performs:
- Data Quality Profiling
- Maintain Data Quality rules in custom VBA based data quality application and in IBM InfoSphere.
- Work with DMO Function Leads and data analysts to create new Data Quality Rules by interpreting technical details / SQL Queries etc. that would help create logic for capturing data quality issues
- Support DMO production processes on daily basis
- Data Lineage
- Utilize Manta tool for producing Data lineage automatically.
- Decipher technical documentation, Data Flow diagrams, SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, SSIS packages and various scripts in order to document Data Lineage manually where required.
- Review the Data Lineage with IT and DMO data analysts
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, mathematics, physics or computer science
- Prior working experience in Financial Industry / Data Governance / Data Management Office
- At least 5+ Years working with Databases such as SQL Server & Oracle (Advanced SQL Writing skills)
- Programming experience in VBA / .NET / C# / Python
- Experience working with Data management tools such as IBM InfoSphere and Manta, and/or custom-built tools for Data Quality Monitoring
- Strong communication skills: Both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
- Detail oriented, organized, and thorough
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to thrive in a team-based environment
- Motivated to continuously challenge, improve, and/or automate processes
What we offer
The expected base salary ranges from $77,500 - $135,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
