Data Analyst, Sustainability job description

Worldly is seeking a skilled Data Analyst with a passion for sustainability to join our dynamic team. This role will partner with stakeholders from across the Worldly team to generate actionable customer reports, insights, and visualizations from the world’s most comprehensive impact intelligence platform. The ideal candidate will be excited to explore the Worldly dataset; have a strong background in data querying (SQL) and scripting (Python); be an adept data wrangler who is comfortable building from the ground up; and have an ability to separate signal from noise to deliver insightful and actionable reports, data visualizations, and templates for customer-facing teams.

What You'll Do

  • Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
  • Utilize data querying (SQL) and scripting (Python) languages to analyze and transform raw data into a variety of internal and market-facing outputs.
  • Contribute to writing market-facing analysis of the data.
  • Develop a solution that enables the scalable reproduction of key metrics across timeframes and levels of aggregation.
  • Quickly iterate on metrics, benchmarks, and outputs based on customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal sustainability experts to continuously refresh, update, and refine the core analytics, insights, and benchmarks.

We'd Like to See

  • Bachelor's degree or similar experience in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science).
  • 2+ years of experience with data querying (SQL) and scripting (Python).
  • Proven ability to generate insights and build data visualizations and reports from the ground up.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use basic statistical techniques.
  • Previous experience or a strong interest in corporate sustainability.
