Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Sales Compensation Data Analyst to join our growing Accounting team. The Sales Compensation Data Analyst will be responsible for reviewing monthly sales compensation calculations in our sales compensation management platform. The Sales Compensation Data Analyst is a strong analytical problem solver who can multitask and communicate effectively. This role is located in our New York City office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review monthly sales compensation calculations in our sales compensation management platform, Beqom, to ensure compliance with existing contract agreements and special incentive plans initiated by business leaders.
- Administer and maintain accurate and applicable sales compensation plan components as well as eligibility of payments in Beqom.
- Participate and lead user Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes and enhancements within Beqom.
- Directly support sales teams via research & resolution of commission-related inquiries (e.g. system access issues, transaction disputes, credits, and payment calculations).
- Compile monthly commission reporting for month-end accounting close process and other ad-hoc reporting for management.
- Function as an analytics and reporting expert to design, run, and maintain Business Intelligence reporting and other ad hoc queries to assist in commission computations.
- Identify and implement best practices and procedures for the various compensation processes. Assist with the documentation of procedures and internal controls.
- Collaborate with various functional areas of the business including Accounting, Originations, HR, IT, and Payroll to make process improvements that streamline the efficiency and accuracy of production-related commission calculations.
Requirements
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with a sales compensation application.
- Experience in a Financial/Accounting/Sales Analyst role(s), and inclusive of experience in a Commission Accountant/Analyst role.
- Experience in data analysis tools (Power BI/Tableau) or other BI platforms.
- Completed coursework in finance or accounting is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with multi-tasking ability.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Self-starter, dedicated and professional.
What we offer
Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
