Job Description & Responsibilities
The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Research Data Analyst 1 (RDA 1) to assist with analysis of brain imaging and behavioral data, under the direction of Dr. Vinod Menon. The RDA 1 will assist with NIH funded research on cognitive and clinical neuroscience research aiming to uncover human brain function and dysfunction in multiple psychiatric and neurological disorders. Disorders under investigation include learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s disease. The RDA 1 will assist with data analysis, collaborate with other lab scientists, contribute to preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and assist with preliminary data analysis for grant proposals.

Duties Include
- Collect, manage, and perform QC on datasets.
- Employ new and existing tools to interpret, analyze, and visualize multivariate relationships in data.
- Create databases and reports, develop algorithms and statistical models, and perform statistical analyses appropriate to data and reporting requirements.
- Use system reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and determine root cause for data problems from input errors or inadequate field edits, and suggest possible solutions.
- Develop reports, charts, graphs and tables for use by investigators and for publication and presentation.
- Document data processes.
- Collaborate with faculty and research staff on data collection and analysis methods.
- Provide documentation based on audit and reporting criteria to investigators and research staff.
- Communicate with government officials, grant agencies and industry representatives.

Requirements
Desired Qualifications
- B.S/M.S. in neuroscience, physics, statistics, computer science, or psychology.
- Experience in brain imaging (fMRI, EEG, MRI) and behavioral data analysis
- Experience with data analysis programs.
- Ability to collaborate and work with team members on multiple studies.
Education & Experience (required)
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, neuroscience, psychology, or biomedical engineering.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (required)
- Substantial experience with data analytics programs.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
What we offer
The expected pay range for this position is $64,480 to $93,000 per annum
