Data Analyst, Research job description

As a CBRE Research Data Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting research and data analysis for a variety of organizational projects and initiatives. Data Analysts are responsible for learning the local market and developing knowledge about CBRE’s internal systems.

What you’ll do

  • Assist in collection, aggregation and input of data (comps, tenants in market, properties, availabilities, new constructions etc.) into CBRE’s property database.
  • Perform periodic data audits and change reports to ensure that quantity and quality of our data is top notch.
  • Pick up basic data visualization and programming skills to assist the Senior Analyst and Data Intelligence manager on special projects.
  • Attend and take notes at monthly broker group meetings to be circulated to brokers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate degree and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-4 years of experience in commercial real estate or other market research role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
  • Requires someone who is detail oriented. Also, someone who can take direction and work efficiently and independently to accomplish a task. Must have a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and Tableau.
  • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
  • Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment
