Job Description & Responsibilities
The Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DD) seeks a Research/Data Analyst to be located in Jefferson City, Missouri, with option of remote/flexible schedule. This position will be part of the Data & Analytics Team within the Division of DD.
Job Duties
The Data & Analytics Team works closely with the state Medicaid authority, MOHealthNet, regarding implementation of Division of DD Targeted Case Management (TCM) and Home and Community Based Waiver Services (HCBS). You will be an integral part of the Division’s efforts to enable evidence-based review of programs and services provided by the Department of Mental Health and its community partners. Strong communication and writing skills are required.
Additional Duties/responsibilities Of This Position Include
- Performs complex research, analysis, data retrieval, and reporting for Medicaid waiver and other health care data for the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DD) in an efficient and timely manner. This includes the State Authority Medicaid programs and systems.
- Provides essential and critical research, data and analysis to guide Division’s management in decisions and determinations.
- Utilizes data to produce reports and dashboards used by the Division to evaluate existing and future programs.
- Works closely with other data/research analysts in Division on a wide variety of research and data analysis projects.
- Provides input on research and reporting projects within the Division and works with public and private agencies on joint analysis projects.
- Develop reports with reporting tools such as SQL, Visual Studio, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Advises on policy, conduct policy research, and serve as technical consultant related to Medicaid long term services and supports data.
Requirements

- Self-motivated, self-directed and independent thinking effective team player:
- Writes ad-hoc reports, queries, uploads, and downloads; and
- Experience with MS SQL, Visual Studio, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, Tableau, ad Power BI.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.) Data analysis of programs involving mental health, social services, and intellectual disability /developmental disability, Medicaid, or public health services preferred.
