HAP Tech, a subgroup of BRG’s Healthcare Analytics practice (HAP), is one of the firm’s largest and fastest growing teams. This innovative group is currently looking for talented and dynamic professionals to join us as we continue to grow! HAP Tech supports and advises pharmaceutical manufacturers on how to navigate the challenges and complexities of the 340B program as well as other areas of the healthcare ecosystem. Our team is the established market leader in data and technology solutions for 340B-related issues and we support an impressive client base which includes the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the US as well as early-stage biotech companies. Beyond our syndicated solutions, we also integrate and synthesize data to deliver unparalleled analytics and insights into various aspects of the 340B program and the pharmaceutical supply chain.

BRG’s HAP Tech team is searching for a motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Data Analyst to be an integral member of our new QA team! The QA Data Analyst will be responsible for delivering on data-driven solutions by performing business analysis, data analysis, QA testing, UAT support, and translating business/functional requirements into technical specifications for our web applications in our Healthcare Analytics practice’s 340b team. Our next-generation platform blends industry-leading analytics, advanced software architecture, and the latest web technologies. You will play a vital role within a rapidly growing organization while working closely with a creative, dedicated team, to solve complex user experience problems and communicate design needs with a human-centered lens. This is a highly collaborative role, and the QA Data Analyst will work closely with our QA Team and Product Owners. The QA Data Analyst should have a strong foundation in software engineering QA methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver data-driven solutions by performing business analysis, data analysis, QA testing, UAT support, and translating business/functional requirements into technical specifications by working with Product Owners, Business SMEs, and software engineers.
  • Perform testing duties which may involve reviewing test data, creating test cases, test execution, and monitoring/documenting results, and mentoring other testing staff in these activities.
  • Contribute to the maturity of the test automation solution, design of automation frameworks and the implementation of test strategy, test plans & test execution across supported engineering teams.
  • Supports automation script development and the optimization of those scripts.
  • Collaborate with product teams to strategize and align long term solutions for test automation including roadmap, tools, framework & approach.
  • Participate in the creation of a standard automation framework for Technical QA and Functional Testing.
  • Presents technical documentation for review by peers and the Development community.
  • Develop and maintain regression strategy for testing of existing functionality based on technical analysis, complexity, and reusability.
  • Help to define test data in our test environments to ensure optimal testing before production releases.
  • Work with business units to understand clients’ data needs and define test processes to ensure these needs are met.
  • Work closely with other functional disciplines, especially software engineering, product managers, and UI/UX design.
Data Analyst, QA job requirements

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Information Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar role committed to data quality and testing; 5+ years of experience in a QA Automation role using Python or Java and SQL for complex query creation and performing testing activities.
  • Proven hands-on experience developing scalable and repeatable testing frameworks, patterns, methodologies, and automations.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation - strong knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with testing web services and APIs.
  • Experience with development ecosystems such as Git and CI/CD.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process, leveraging Confluence/Jira.
  • Hands on experience in Analysis, Design, Coding and Testing phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working with health care data.
  • Proven ability to drive QA success via integrated cross-functional teams involving deep collaboration with engineering and UI/UX design.
