Data Analyst, Product job description

Flock Safety is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Product Operations team. This role will be responsible for supporting various functions across Operations to utilize data to inform business critical decisions & drive process automation across the organization. A day in the life of this role might involve running analysis, building complex SQL queries and dashboards, rolling out a more automated process with cross-functional stakeholders to eliminate manual work, and presenting findings to the executive team.

The ideal candidate has a passion for working with data, automating processes, and a strong bias for action. They have an analytical mind, outstanding communication & stakeholder management skills, and are comfortable querying / manipulating complex datasets. Ultimately, a top-notch Operations Data Analyst should be a data-driven thinker who enjoys solving problems and building tools.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Partner on cross-functional work streams to help identify opportunities for efficiency, roll out new processes, and solve complex problems using data in close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Finance, & Delivery / Implementation Operations
  • Write advanced SQL queries, build dashboards in Sigma & Tableau, & develop automated trackers that create leverage across the Operations organization
  • Support and guide senior leadership by presenting key findings, projections, and recommended actions

We’re looking for people who:

  • Four year undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years in data analytics or a related field
  • Extensive experience with SQL, Excel / Google Sheets, data visualization tools (experience working with languages such as Python is a plus, but not required)
  • Outstanding analytical, presentation, and communication (written, verbal) skills
  • Experience navigating new challenges in a high-growth company
