Job Description & Responsibilities
We’re looking for a product financial data analyst to join our product management team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing product-related financial data and providing insights that will shape our product strategies. This role requires a blend of financial acumen, analytical skills, and a keen understanding of how product performance data impacts business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing financial data related to product performance, including revenue, cost, and profitability metrics
- Developing financial models to forecast future product performance
- Collaborating with product managers and cross-functional teams to gather data and insights on product trends and market dynamics
- Preparing regular financial reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key financial trends and analysis
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes for product lines
- Conducting various scenario analyses to understand the differences between actuals and forecasts (and recommend corrective actions)
- Participating in strategic projects and initiatives to enhance financial reporting and analytical capabilities
- Ensuring data quality and integrity in all financial reporting and analytics
Requirements
Core Strengths And Skills
- Detail-oriented and strategic
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree in quant STEM with relevant minimum 2-year work experience
- Experience with financial modeling, data analysis, scenario analysis, and working with stakeholders to develop P&Ls
- Basic knowledge of product management principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively both in-person and virtually
