Job Description & Responsibilities
The Data Science & Analytics Team is the driving force behind our data-driven culture at Kafene. We partner closely with Kafene’s Risk, Technology, Sales, and Product teams to:
- Design data products/ML-based tools to understand portfolio profitability and growth
- Manage Kafene’s experimentation program
- Optimize Sales efficiency by running acquisition and retention analytics
- Build a best-in-class pricing program to maximize competitiveness and profitability

We are seeking a Pricing Data Analyst to join our growing Data Science & Analytics Team. This role will be responsible for designing and optimizing our dynamic pricing program; supporting merchant retention and acquisition; running pricing analytics and design reports to track KPIs and flag outlier behavior. The ideal candidate is extremely collaborative with excellent attention to detail and is relentless in their pursuit of organizing and simplifying complex systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run analytics and experiments to measure price elasticity, lever impact on growth
- Design and implement new pricing solutions to power growth and profitability
- Support retention and acquisition efforts by providing pricing for small businesses and large enterprises
- Track pricing effectiveness, model economic impact of different programs
- Build BI tools and reports to track portfolio pricing health
- Collaborate with Tech, Risk, Sales, Finance, and Analytics to solve pricing needs
- Maintain + improve key executive-facing reports tracking pricing-related experimentation
Requirements
Core Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-3+ years of work experience as a Data Analyst - relevant industry experience is a plus
- Superior quantitative analysis skills, creativity in problem-solving, and a keen business sense
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with complex relational databases (Snowflake)
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Keen attention to detail, obsessively organized with excellent documentation skills
- Analytical mindset - the ability to perform root cause analysis, recognize patterns
- Familiar with Google Analytics, Python, Tableau/Looker/Sigma, JIRA project management
- Highly motivated and ambitious
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Math, Finance, Engineering), or equivalent combination of training and practical experience

Compensation:
- Base Salary: Earn a competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 - $115,000 a year.
