Job Description & Responsibilities
The Customer Analytics - Engagement team is focused on turning our customer and marketing-centric analytical and data science insights into actions to create a better connection with and experience for our customers. As a team, we value working smartly, helping each other out, leveraging personal strengths and challenging ourselves for growth.
About the role:
One area our team covers is Nordstrom’s retailer media network. We are seeking a Data Analyst 2 to join our team to support our strategic, best-in-class analytics program for reporting on and optimizing the success of the media network in terms of both brand partnerships and engaging customer audiences. This role requires close collaboration with other analysts, and multiple marketing and product partners across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and strong storyteller who is always looking for new opportunities to solve business problems with data-driven tools. The individual should be highly curious about the business and possess the skills to unlock rich, nuanced insights from data and communicate those insights in a way that drives positive business outcomes. A day in the life:
- Balance short and long-term projects with quick turn ad-hoc requests
- Query data in various analytical platforms and work on both scalable and bespoke reporting solutions
- Bring data to life through storytelling in a clear and meaningful way to audiences with mixed levels of technical expertise
- Partner with key stakeholders to successfully deliver on analytical tasks
- Document project requirements and manage timelines
- Stay informed on current market trends for digital marketing and retailer media networks
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing and customer analytics, preferably in retail/e-commerce industry
- 2+ years or strong working knowledge of SQL and working with digital data and big data solutions (e.g., Teradata)
- Experience with incrementality or closed-loop reporting a plus
- Proficiency with graphics/visualization software (e.g. Shiny, Tableau).
- Curious, flexible mindset with strong problem solving and communication skills

Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
California: $87,500 - $144,500 Annually,
Colorado: $76,500 - $125,500 Annually,
Nevada: $76,500 - $125,500 Annually,
New York: $87,500 - $144,500 Annually,
Rhode Island: $76,500 - $125,500 Annually,
Washington: $87,500 - $144,500 Annually
