Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will gather, verify, organize, process, and analyze data from various sources in order to help make business decisions. You will create dashboards and reports in order for cross-functional teams to easily review that data and help those teams judge the relative success of marketing initiatives. You will manage data audits and data reviews on the various sources of data and work to resolve findings as well as look for ways to improve overall data management by establishing data rules and auditing processes. You will help educate and provide guidance to business stakeholders on how best to harness available data in support of business needs.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Gather, process, and integrate data from various sources, by pulling data either manually or via automated processes, transforming and merging data, creating and running intake processes, and tagging and processing data within various platforms. (50%)
Analyze data for Marketing projects and make help to make business decision running templated pre-made reports or generating ad-hoc reports. (20%)
Develop reports and report templates by creating specs, testing and documentation that support optimization and Marketing initiatives. Analyze current Marketing processes to determine what critical data reports need to be developed. (10%)
Manage data audits and data reviews on Marketing data to ensure established Company data governance rules are being followed. Work with cross-functional groups to resolve audit findings and analyze data for needed updates. Identify potential improvement opportunities and solutions. (10%)
Develop and document data rules, definitions, calculations, and auditing processes. Develop and execute training for the data changes. Implement related master data changes and improvements. (10%)
Requirements
If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years Data Analyst / Data Engineering work experience.
- Experience with data analytics tools.
- Deep familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with data lakes/repositories, and 3rd party data APIs. Domo preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other tool for managing and retrieving data in databases.
- Experience with Salesforce (Marketing Cloud) analytics.
- Experience integrating third-party marketing data. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn analytics preferred.
- Experience & understanding of SEO / SEM / Marketing initiatives and campaign.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and completing priorities.
- Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships.
- Attention to detail. Ability to maintain thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task.
- Problem solving. Ability to identify all the options for solving a problem and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses.
- Speaking and presentation. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to write in a clear, concise, and organized manner for the intended audience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.
Travel
This position requires domestic travel two to four times a year for departmental meetings.
Work Status & Location
This full-time, exempt position is located in Pleasanton, CA, but open to fully remote.

Pay
$63500 - $121900 / year
