Job Description & Responsibilities
We are in search of a dynamic collaborator for our Marketing team who possesses the analytical prowess to break down intricate challenges and the innate curiosity to identify and focus on solving the most impactful problems. Working closely with our Marketing stakeholders, you will facilitate the structuring and analysis of data to uncover patterns, extract insights, and identify trends that will inform optimal marketing strategies and decisions.
You should have a strong understanding of current analytical techniques, with experience in parsing operational and usage data, and crafting a coherent narrative through modern visualization tools. You’ll be expected to approach work with a solid grasp of statistics, including statistical tests and distributions. Familiarity with the potential for applying advanced techniques like machine learning, deep learning and text analytics is a plus.
Your job is aimed at introducing Greenlight to new families and converting them to customers efficiently and at scale. Your role will be both strategic and operational in nature: you will be both supporting management of media channels to drive new family acquisition as well as helping us strategize across and optimize our media portfolio. Beyond fast-paced paid media management, the role includes analytics, technical problem-solving, cross-functional relationship building, and strategic planning. The best candidates will combine robust analytical training with experience working in a high-growth setting.
Your day-to-day:
- Help manage multi-million dollar budget to meet growth and efficiency goals
- Own analyses to identify and recommend improvements to how we manage our overall marketing mix
- Take a leadership role in developing goals that drive users through the funnel
- Ruthlessly analyze results to troubleshoot and uncover new hypotheses
- Collaborate with Creative to test visuals and messaging for performance
- Evaluate test opportunities across top advertising platforms
Requirements
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Solid experience in integrating marketing and analytics tools to drive data-driven decisions and improve campaign performance, demonstrating a keen ability to optimize spend and maximize ROI.
- A deep understanding of digital marketing principles and tactics, including CPM, CAC and CPC
- Experience with direct mail marketing is highly desirable, showcasing an ability to blend traditional marketing techniques with digital strategies for comprehensive campaigns.
- You have 3+ years of analytical experience working with and across large datasets, delivering actionable insights to business stakeholders and leaders.
- You have exceptional mathematical skills, applying a critical eye to the approach in understanding our data. You aren’t fooled by randomness or regressions to the mean, and recognize assumptions that need to be explicitly controlled for. Experience in machine learning, and statistical and predictive modeling a plus
- You are insatiably curious about our data, have strong statistical intuition, and have a proven track record for leveraging analytics to drive significant business impact
- You have experience with cleaning, transforming, modeling and analysis using Python
- You have 2+ years of Tableau Desktop experience, have excellent data visualization skills and are familiar with best-in-class dashboarding techniques
- You have hands-on experience with SQL, and possess advanced skills that allow you to easily extract data from multiple data sources for analysis and visualization.
- You have enterprise data warehousing experience, preferably with Snowflake or other cloud-based solutions, and are familiar with modeling and ETL/ELT best practices
- Working cross-functionally is a way of life for you. You thrive in environments where you must bring different disciplines and points of view together and balance competing priorities and deadlines
Not sure this one’s for you? Don’t count yourself out. Show us what you’ve got and we’ll reach out if there’s a great fit.
