The US TikTok User & Business Operations organization is looking for a highly motivated, collaborative and detail-oriented team member to provide high quality analysis to cross functional stakeholders. We are looking for a strategic self-starter with excellent project management skills who is ready to learn and capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders and different functions across cultures and time zones. The ideal candidate is a humble, curious, and skilled listener, communicator and relationship-builder.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities

  • Technical consultation: Be a technical and strategic partner for the TikTok Legal teams. Create business impact with data and proactively generate insights and solutions for legal partners to assist the business in achieving their goals
  • Data Exploration & Quarterbacking: Help the Legal team understand what data is available and what isn't. Help wrangle various engineering and data teams to find the most comprehensive list of data available, and help strategize on proxies and alternatives when initial asks are unmeetable due to TTLs or Data deletion.
  • Accessibility and Documentation: There's a need for clear information about the available tables and columns, their data content, metric definition, and usage potential. Building comprehensive documentation will be key.
  • Always-on Data Analytics Support : Many pieces of litigation require incredibly fast turnaround. Having analysts with redundant abilities guarantees that we can meet important legal deadlines.
Data Analyst, Litigation job requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in data science or analytics role
  • Proficiency in SQL - able to write structured queries on large data sets
  • Top-notch organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; able to thrive with minimal oversight and process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Experience in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB)
  • Preferred experience with a data visualization tool (e.g. Mode Analytics/Chartio/Tableau/Qlikview)
  • Preferred experience working with international partners at different time zones
What we offer at TikTok

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88227 - $128355 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
