Job Description & Responsibilities
The Fraud Data Analyst will play a critical role in Ria's fraud mitigation program by monitoring transaction data, identifying potential fraud threats, and performing data analysis to enhance our fraud prevention efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze data, monitor trends, and create and implement innovative solutions to mitigate fraud risks and improve KPI performance. This role involves analyzing big data and using programming in languages like Python or R to develop and maintain fraud detection models and rules.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monitoring transaction data and perform data analysis to detect emerging fraud threats and monitor performance of new and ongoing strategies.
- Conduct QA checks on transaction monitoring rules to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Utilize programming languages like Python or R to automate and optimize fraud detection processes.
- Generate reports and insights based on data analysis to support new fraud program strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging fraud vectors, and internal strategy.
- Assist in documenting and maintaining documentation for all new analysis.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and fraud prevention.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of financial industry fraud detection tools is a plus.

Salary: The base range in for this position is $95,000-$115,000. Actual starting compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, and skills.
