Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Data Analyst who believes, as we do, that digital therapy provides an unprecedented opportunity to improve mental health. At Talkspace, you’ll be working with people who are passionate about data, and excited to achieve our mission of bringing quality mental healthcare to all. As a Data Analyst, you will be a part of a collaborative and mission-driven Data Science and Finance team.
Please note: This position is NYC-based and will require in-person work 1-2 days a week at our NYC office.
About This Role
Data Analysis:
- Conduct thorough quantitative analyses to support financial and operational strategies.
- Develop and refine data visualizations that clearly communicate financial trends and forecasts to stakeholders.
- Collect analytical requirements, write database queries, and build automated reports for internal business stakeholders and external partners.
- Utilize your expertise in SQL and Python to manage financial data effectively.
- Design and implement data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes and enhance operational efficiency while adhering to SOX controls
- Own projects from inception to completion: independently initiating, planning, and executing projects within the financial domain.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Work with a team of both technical and non-technical stakeholders to turn insight into action.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to provide data-driven insights that support product development, provider network operations, commercial strategy, and marketing.
- Communicate the story behind the data to non-technical stakeholders, translating insights into results.
Strategic Insights:
- Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights supporting product development, provider network operations, commercial strategy, marketing, and partnership initiatives/decisions.
- Navigate the intricacies of a multi-sided marketplace, within a healthcare context, understanding different stakeholder needs and market drivers.
Requirements
About You
- 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role with a strong finance focus
- BA/BS in a quantitative field like statistics, applied mathematics, economics, computer science, or equivalent experience. An MBA is advantageous
- Proficiency in SQL, python, and Excel / Google Sheets. Knowledge of dbt is a plus
- Experience working in a public company and familiar with SOX compliance processes
- Comfortable with statistics and data manipulation
- Experience with data visualization software like Looker or Tableau
- A creative problem solver who knows that the first step is to understand the question
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data stories to diverse audiences
What we offer
At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.
The base salary range for this role is between $115,000 and $140,000. Within the salary bands, leveling corresponds to each candidate’s relevant experience, skills as assessed during the interview process, education, and applicable certifications.
