Job Description & Responsibilities
National Grid is hiring a Data Analyst for our Electric Systems & Process Development team in Northborough, MA.

Job Purpose
Provide business end-user application support (ArcGIS Online) & assist with reporting tasks in support of the New York electric business. Other tasks may include GIS mapping, spatial analysis, data pipeline development & process documentation
Key Accountabilities
- Administer & provide end-user support for our electrical ArcGIS Online suite (IMAP).
- Collaborate with stakeholders on asset data reporting needs.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
- Proven experience working with diverse teams & individuals.
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) including proven ability to effectively communicate with peers & both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Information Sciences, Data Sciences or Data Analytics is preferred. Associate’s degree in related field with similar work experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient with computer applications including relational databases, spreadsheets, and other general applications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a matrix environment.
Experience working with GIS tools & spatial data systems is required.
ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro/ArcGIS Online is required.
GE Smallworld GIS & Safe FME are a plus
Experience working with the any of the following is highly desirable:
Python
Pandas
SQL
Microsoft PowerBI
JavaScript or other web development frameworks
Experience working with utility asset information is desirable
This position includes a Storm Role assignment. Candidate must be able to respond to storm emergencies as required.
Ability to travel throughout the National Grid service territory as needed. (less than 20%)
Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history.
What we offer
Salary
$77,000 - $90,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
