Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join the Long COVID team at Every Cure. Long COVID is a debilitating condition in need of therapeutic approaches. Unfortunately, there are several critical challenges in the way of identifying treatments for Long COVID, such as poor understanding of the underlying mechanisms, unclear biomarkers, heterogeneous symptoms and natural history, and limited-quality data generated to date. While many challenges exist, the debilitating impact of Long COVID symptoms and its relatively new emergence make it ideally suited for therapeutic discovery through Every Cure’s AI-powered approach.

A major component of this project is to build upon the infrastructure we’ve established to apply AI to the world’s biomedical knowledge and identify the most promising therapeutics specifically for Long COVID. The Data Analyst will be tasked with collecting and analyzing published papers, studies, and other data sources (medical record, claims databases, patient surveys, physician surveys, etc.), and performing manual and automated data & database curation, entry & extractions and cleaning, along with supporting analyses of data. The Data Analyst will perform these tasks in partnership with data engineers, data scientists, and medical subject matter experts.

Education & Previous Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 0-3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience relevant in biomedical sciences program management.

Specialized Knowledge or Technical Skills Needed for Performance of Job

• Strong experience in data collation, data analysis, and data extraction
• Understanding of basic medical terminology
• Familiarity with virology, immunology, and drug repurposing preferred
• Familiarity with SQL and Python preferred
