Job Description & Responsibilities
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Data Analyst supporting our Navy Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) customer within our Advanced Modeling and Simulation Technical Operation. The program is a multiyear effort to enhance a Fleet electronic warfare system. This role will work collaboratively within a mixed discipline team to develop new technologies centered around embedding signal processing applications. This position will be located on-site at NIWC PAC – Topside in the Point Loma area of San Diego, CA.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assist in transitioning technology from TRL 3/4 to TRL 6/7 for a RDTE effort.
- Signal filtering, signal extraction and analysis
- Support projects converting existing MATLAB to object-oriented code or VHDL (for FPGAs) to integrate existing code into prototype units
- Provide support in test and analysis in existing or next generation embedded software and hardware.
- Provide occasional technical support and/or field support planning, and other field support in general, as needed
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
- 2+ years C/C++ programming.
- 2+ years MATLAB knowledge.
- Experience with digital filtering.
- Experience using MATLAB (or relevant language) to supplement debugging of hardware.
- Experience creating test benches to test behavior of design before implementing on hardware.
- Ability to work in a small team environment and be proactive.
- Ability to work individually with little to no guidance.
- Strong analytical/problem solving capability.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Knowledge of Navy environments preferred
