Data Analyst job description

We are seeking a talented E-commerce Data Analyst who is passionate about leveraging data to drive optimization and growth within the e-commerce space. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce metrics, extensive experience in analyzing online consumer behaviors, and a proven track record of utilizing data-driven insights to enhance engagement and conversion rates.

Responsibilities:

Deep dive into e-commerce metrics: Utilize your expertise in e-commerce metrics such as conversion rates, cart abandonment rates, and customer acquisition cost to identify areas for improvement and optimization across various online sales channels.

Analyze online consumer behaviors and trends: Analyze and interpret online consumer behaviors, preferences, and trends to identify opportunities for increasing engagement and driving conversions within the e-commerce ecosystem.

Customer journey mapping: Map and analyze customer journeys in an e-commerce context to identify pain points, optimize touchpoints, and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Data integration and analysis: Integrate and analyze data from multiple e-commerce channels including websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms to gain holistic insights into customer behavior and preferences. Utilize common AWS tools such as AWS Glue for data integration and AWS Redshift for data warehousing.

Platform expertise: Demonstrate hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms and their analytics capabilities to effectively gather, analyze, and interpret data for strategic decision-making.

Personalization and recommendation algorithms: Leverage your familiarity with data-driven personalization and recommendation algorithms to enhance the shopping experience, increase average order value, and drive customer satisfaction.

Spark and AWS proficiency: Utilize Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and analysis. Leverage common AWS tools such as Amazon EMR for big data processing and AWS S3 for data storage and retrieval.

Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and manipulation using PySpark, SQL, or similar tools in a cloud environment.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, or similar cloud-based data technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify patterns indicative of fraudulent behavior.
  • Experience developing and implementing fraud detection algorithms, machine learning models, or statistical techniques is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • Experience with Fraud tools such as Kount, Midigator, Ethoca, Order Insights, and others.
