Data Analyst job description

Erie Home is looking for a detailed-oriented analytics practitioner to join our team as a Data Analyst. This position will concentrate on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data in support of enterprise initiatives aimed at improving business processes and optimizing the customer experience. The role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate findings into existing workflows that will advance business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support data-driven projects from inception to completion, including structured and unstructured data collection, cleansing, transformation, and visualization.
  • Organize and analyze large datasets from various sources including sales data, advertising performance, market trends, and operational metrics.
  • Proactively analyze digital metrics, including website unique visitors, email clicks, paid media click-thru-rate, social engagements, and revenue, to identify trends, behaviors, opportunities, risks and anomalies.
  • Advance A/B testing framework; conduct experiments to measure efficacy.
  • Partner with business intelligence team to maintain and expand reporting solutions for monitoring key metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, operations, and finance to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to enable quick adjustments in response to market changes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, continuously enhancing our analytical capabilities and tools.
Data Analyst job requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or related role, preferably in a B2C setting.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; experience with Python, R, or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar.
  • Experience in web analytics through tools such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, or similar. Prior experience with marketing attribution and incrementality is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and a high aptitude for problem solving.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
