Job Description & Responsibilities
The Business Analytics team sits within Mural’s Centralized Operations team, which also includes Information Technology, Program Operations (PMO), and Business Operations and Strategy. Composed of skilled Data Analysts and Business Intelligence Analysts, the team works collaboratively with stakeholders from various departments to convert data into actionable insights that align with company goals and drive business growth. The team plays a pivotal role in furnishing Mural with crucial Business Health Reporting and metrics to measure our success.
YOUR MISSION
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for measuring business performance, analyzing trends, and surfacing insights to drive strategy for the Customer Success team. You will partner closely with leaders to deliver meaningful insights, self-service reporting, and metric strategies that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will play a key role in measuring and driving the strategy of the organization!
What You'll Do
- Work closely with cross-functional team members in Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, and Product to unlock and deliver actionable data-driven insights using cutting-edge analytics and visualization tools
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer journey while connecting insights directly to the business opportunity and driving product growth
- Proactively own and drive several long-term change management initiatives each year. This will involve a mixture of project management skills, communication and presentation skills, strong collaboration across departments, and the initiative to push projects to completion
- Partner with our data engineering teams to use existing datasets and drive the creation of dashboards in Tableau that provide ongoing insight into business performance.
- Understand both quantitative and qualitative research and trends related to the product and the business, and be able to leverage those insights to help teams make data-informed decisions.
- Provide findings, insights, and recommendations to be shared with Senior Leadership in Monthly Business Reviews.
Requirements
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in a Data Analytics role
- Data experience in the following areas: Customer Success, Sales/Revenue Operations
- Proven experience leading the analysis of data from a variety of different sources (quantitative and qualitative), presenting the data in a clear and concise manner, and creating actionable insights
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience with Tableau or similar visualization tool
- A strong mastery of SQL
- Exposure to or working knowledge of Salesforce data architecture
- Strong communication skills, comfortable collaborating with and presenting to senior leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills, comfortable navigating ambiguity to derive business requirements from stakeholder data requests
- Autonomous, self-driven, and able to thrive in ambiguity
- Working knowledge of pipeline tools like DBT and Airflow
What we offer
For roles based in New York City, California, Colorado, and Washington, the base salary for this role ranges from $119,500 - $149,400 + equity + benefits. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation.
