Job Description & Responsibilities
Purpose of Role:
Responsible for collection, evaluation and analysis of Company data and information responsive to regulatory reporting requirements for mortgage banking activity.
Expectations:
- Gathers, cleans, and maintains data from various sources relevant to mortgage banking activities.
- Applies technical expertise to ensure data quality, accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
- Analyzes data to provide clear and accurate feedback to management to assist with resolving identified irregularities.
- Formats data for further analysis, decision-making, or reporting.
- Prepares accurate and timely regulatory reports in compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensures reports meet the requirements of regulatory bodies, such as the HMDA, MCR, and State Reports.
- Resolves data discrepancies, explains data findings, and garners final approval of source-to-target mappings in collaboration with business partners.
- Performs a variety of daily data analysis tasks (e.g. reviews reports, prepares correspondence, participates in special department projects, etc.).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications - Education - Required
- Bachelor's Degree
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in mortgage lending or banking loan origination systems, backend data archive platforms, and state/federal reporting systems.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in data analysis.
- Experience with mortgage operations.
- Experience utilizing data analytics for state and federal regulatory reporting.
- Advanced data analytics skill set, including strong data manipulation and data analysis skills.
- Mathematical acumen to analyze equations.
- Interpersonal, oral, and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with attention to detail to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
What we offer
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is ($70,000 - $90,000), inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
