Job Description & Responsibilities
Dematic is hiring a Global Commercial Analyst that will be focused on supporting the Global Commercial & Strategy organization through standardization of global processes, development of complex data analysis tools, and identifying areas of growth This position will work closely with key stakeholders and analysts within the Global Commercial (Sales/Business Development/Marketing) to drive global alignment of data, processes and provide analytics to enable strategic and tactical business decisions. . This will be an ideal role for a passionate business analyst with experience in building process excellence and a working knowledge of data sets, analytical processes and tools to support the growing analytical needs of the Commercial Operations team.
This is What You Will do in This Role:
- Partner with Global/Regional teams to develop, modify, and distribute standard and ad hoc management reports/dashboards which provide actionable data; includes leading and lagging indicators of success
- Work closely with global teams to deliver projects for Commercial Operations; primarily related (but not limited to) Salesforce, data governance, SAP sales process & master data, Salesforce alignments, dashboards, ad-hoc analysis, and reporting
- Provide data analytical tools to the Global Commercial team on trends, patterns, and gaps; leverage data, analytics and technology to propose and implement global solutions
- Identify requirements and create documents for global data governance and global commercial dashboards
- Work closely with Global/Regional teams to define processes to ensure data quality is maintained at the highest level
- Leverage data from a variety of sources (SFDC, SAP, GDW, etc.) to analyze business performance, identify areas of opportunity and provide actionable insights
- Design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of business process changes to improve data quality and business outcomes
Requirements
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, or related discipline
- 2-4 years of experience in business or financial analytics
- Experience with analyzing business and financial data
- Working knowledge of BI platforms, ERP and CRM applications
- Working knowledge of databases and familiarity with SQL
- Basic understanding of principles of finance
- Proactive self-starter able to contribute individually and as part of a team as business needs dictate, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated aptitude to successfully gather and executing report requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated innovator, that’s drawn to challenges and creative thinking
- Ability to travel domestically as needed
Required Skills:
- Passionate about data analytics and how it can be applied, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to complement
- Work on multiple projects and translate business data into digestible information that aligns and improves global processes
- Proven ability to gather technical requirements and build analytical dashboards to provide important insights to drive business decisions
- Ability to thrive in project environments that often start with uncertain requirements or outcomes; ability to put definition and structure around problems and projects
- Strong understanding of the importance of data governance and analytical skills, with close attention to details
- Self-motivated, customer oriented and a team player with the ability to coordinate workload independently to complete tasks
Preferred Skills:
- Power BI, Salesforce, and/or SAP would be a plus
- Knowledge of analytical coding languages (R, Python)
- Snowflake or other cloud-based database platforms
- Experience with technical documentation
