Job Description & Responsibilities
At Polygence, data is at the core of everything we do. As a Data Analyst, reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data to offer invaluable insights and steer critical business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, grasp their data requirements, maintain data integrity, and produce reports and visualizations to empower them with the ability to make data-informed decisions.

- You excel in conveying complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner, making data accessible to technical and non-technical stakeholders
What You’ll Do
- Work with leaders across the business as a trusted partner on strategically important projects to guide decision-making
- Investigate and interpret datasets to uncover business trends, performance, issues, and metrics, and communicate findings effectively to executives
- Manage data requests, converting vague inquiries into actionable analyses, and prioritize competing data needs
- Proactively identify and build business cases for areas of focus and prioritization -- that is, help us ask and answer the right questions with data
- Promote data literacy within the organization, contributing to the establishment of accurate and accessible data resources
- Push the bounds of our data richness and stability by partnering with product and engineering to create well-structured data sources and identify gaps in existing data.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in data analytics
- Fluent in SQL, advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, and some experience with a programming language such as Python or R
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques
- Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Looker
- Flexible, excited to learn, and able to wear many hats within our small but mighty data team.
