Job Description & Responsibilities
At Lovingly, we embrace a hybrid work model that combines the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of in-person collaboration. Our team members are spread across North America, with many conveniently located within a few hours of our Hopewell Junction, NY headquarters. While the majority of our team works from home most of the time, we recognize the unique value of face-to-face interactions.
Depending on the role, team members may be asked to join us at HQ periodically—ranging from once a year to quarterly, monthly, weekly or even more often. This approach ensures that we can maintain strong team cohesion and collaboration while respecting individual needs for flexibility. Our hybrid model reflects our commitment to creating a balanced, adaptable work culture that supports both personal and professional growth.
What You'll Do
- Advanced Financial Analytics: Develop and implement sophisticated statistical models and machine learning algorithms for financial forecasting, risk assessment, and performance analysis. Conduct complex data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial and operational data. Create predictive models to support pricing strategies, inventory management, and resource allocation.
- Data Integration and Management: Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate data from various sources (e.g., Accounting system, CRM, operational systems). Develop and maintain a robust data pipeline for efficient data processing and analysis. Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all financial and operational datasets.
- AI-Driven Financial Innovation: Implement and optimize AI and machine learning models for process automation, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Develop algorithms for real-time financial scenario planning and dynamic pricing optimization. Collaborate within the finance team to create AI-powered budgeting and forecasting tools.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Create interactive dashboards and visual reports to communicate complex financial and data insights to stakeholders. Develop automated reporting systems for real-time performance tracking across all business channels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, operations, and marketing teams to identify data-driven opportunities for growth and efficiency. Translate business questions into data analysis problems and communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Relevant certifications in data science, machine learning, or financial analytics are a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a financial or e-commerce setting. Proven track record of implementing machine learning models and advanced analytics in a business environment. Experience with financial data analysis and familiarity with accounting principles.
- Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and machine learning. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Redshift, Fabric). Familiarity with financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Sage Intacct). Excellent data visualization skills using tools like AWS Quicksight, Tableau or Power BI. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities. Effective communication skills, able to translate complex analytical findings into business insights.

What we offer
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is between $80k - 100k based on skills, experience, and background.
