Data Analyst job description

The Quality Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in our Quality Management Team, utilizing data-driven insights to drive improvements and uphold high standards of product quality. This position involves collaborative work across departments to gather, analyze, and report on quality-related data, making strategic recommendations to enhance processes and product excellence.

This role will be a hybrid position for at least the first month and then may have an opportunity to move to a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and manage comprehensive quality-related data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and potential quality issues, using statistical analysis tools.
  • Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings and insights to the Quality Management Team and other stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure a holistic approach to quality management.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics and KPIs to assess performance against objectives.
  • Ensure data practices comply with industry standards and regulations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in quality control, data analysis or related field
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, SPSS, R, Python, Power Bi) and database management.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a solid understanding of statistical techniques and quality control principles.
  • Experience with quality management systems and knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is preferred.
  • Project management experience is a plus, indicating the ability to lead and manage projects effectively from conception to completion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator, able to articulate complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proactive, with a keen ability to anticipate problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, fostering collaborative relationships across departments.
