Data Analyst job description

MeBe is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities in data analysis and visualization, with a focus on creating and managing dashboards, data manipulation, and automation. This role will involve close collaboration with department heads to understand their reporting needs and translate these into actionable insights through advanced data techniques

About What You’ll Work On:

  • Collaborate with company department heads to identify and address reporting and dashboard needs.
  • Manage and maintain multiple dashboards using Tableau.
  • Create new data visualizations based on requests from department heads.
  • Modify logic in Python and Tableau to accommodate changes in labels and data sources from our Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
  • Set up and manage an SMTP server for automatic report emails on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • Utilize AWS services, specifically EC2 and Crontab, to schedule automated tasks.
  • Work with various software stacks used by our clinical team, including EHR and timekeeping applications, and utilize APIs for data retrieval and integration.
  • Other data analysis responsibilities as assigned
Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of data analyst experience generating and analyzing ad hoc/production reports in Healthcare/Managed Care setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Health Systems Management or Business or related field
  • Located in Pacific Standard Time or Mountain time zones, or ability to work PST or Mountain hours, required
  • Advanced experience using Tableau, required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, functions, charting features, and pivot tables.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL for both basic and advanced queries, data aggregation, and data manipulation.
  • Proficiency in Python, including data manipulation with Pandas, data visualization, automation, and API integration.
  • Expertise in using AWS, particularly for managing EC2 instances and scheduling tasks with Crontab.
  • Strong experience with Tableau, including data connection and preparation, building visualizations, creating dashboards, managing data extracts, and server management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with SMTP server setup and management.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and timekeeping applications.
  • Knowledge of API usage for data retrieval and integration.
  • Experience with other data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
